How do I know if I won an item?
If you win an item, you will receive an email with information regarding the lot(s) and your winning bid(s). Additionally, all information regarding your Winning Bids is displayed in the Winning Bids section of your Morgan O’Driscoll Account.
When will I receive my invoice?
Invoices are typically sent by email within 12 hours after the sale concludes. If the sale took place on a weekend or holiday, you may want to allow extra time for the house to send the invoice. If you have inquiries about the status of your invoice, it is best to contact us directly: info@morganodriscoll.com
Cheque, in Euros, drawn from an Irish Bank Account
Cash, paid in person to a member of the MOD team, please do not post any quantity of cash
Cash and Cheques can be lodged directly into the Morgan O’Driscoll Bank Account at any branch of AIB in Ireland, please contact the Skibbereen Office for Account details
Bank Transfer, you can pay directly into the Morgan O’Driscoll Bank account using your own online banking facility, please include a reference, either name and or lot numbers so the Finance Team knows who the payment is from. Please contact the Skibbereen Office for Account details
Visa and Mastercard Credit cards and Debit cards, can be used for payment for an Online Auction either through the online payment facility or over the phone with a member of staff at Head Office, in Skibbereen, telephone 00353 (0) 28 22338. There is a surcharge of 2% when using credit cards to make a payment, there is no surcharge for use of a debit card

A member of the MOD Team will be happy to assist, please allow at least thirty minutes from the time the hammer falls on your lot to approaching the desk for payment and collection. This allows the system to be updated and for the items to be properly wrapped for you to take home. Can I pay for the item (s) I won over the phone?
Yes, payment is accepted from major credit or debit cards over the phone only at our Head Office, based in Skibbereen, telephone 00353 (0) 28 22338. Please call during normal business hours.

If I win an item, are there additional fees?
When you win an item in a Morgan O’Driscoll auction, you will receive an invoice via email that outlines the additional fees, which include the 20% buyer’s premium and VAT @ 23% on the premium. There will also be additional fees for shipping and handling of the item or storage if required.
If you are attending an, In Room (Live) auction, an invoice outlining all fees will be available from the main desk.
How soon must I pay and collect or arrange shipping?
Items must be paid for and collected or shipping arranged within 7 days after the sale. Any item that has not been collected or not arranged for shipping shall be liable to a storage charge (1% of the hammer price or a minimum of €15.00 per item per week)
I thought I won an item but the auction house says I did not. What should I do?
Though very infrequent, it is possible for a member of the MOD Team to accidentally sell a lot to the incorrect bidder. If you believe that you won a lot, it is best to communicate with Morgan O’Driscoll directly to determine why the miscommunication occurred. By doing so, both parties can come to a clear resolution of the situation.
What is online payment on Morgan O'Driscoll's Website?We are pleased to introduce the ability for buyers to submit payment via credit or debit card directly through our website for items won in auction. Go to the Make a Payment section, located at the bottom of the home page, enter your invoice number, payment amount and select your payment method. Click on ‘Continue’ and follow the instructions. This is a secure method of payment and no card details are stored in the Morgan O’Driscoll system.
Are there any restrictions on which items can be paid for using online payments?
There are certain restrictions on items which can be purchased using online payments, (guns, boats, cars etc). Currently, Morgan O’Driscoll does not sell any items that are restricted, all works of Art, Sculptures, Books, Silverware and Jewellery, can be paid for using the online facility.
Can I also pay for shipping costs using online payments?
If you are availing of the services of the Morgan O’Driscoll, in-house shipping department, Yes, payment can be made using the online service. If you are using a Third Party for shipping, they will invoice you and you pay them directly.
