62 46 Estella Frances Solomons HRHA (1882-1968) Portrait of Moppie Morrow oil on canvas 61.5 x 51.5cm (24.25 x 20.25in) Provenance: Private Collection €800-1,200 (£707-1,061) Moppie Morrow was the daughter of the artist Jack Morrow. Jack languished in Mountjoy Prison for most of 1919, having been arrested in January of that year. Estella helped look after Moppie, who was to feature in a number of her works. Estella’s Great Brunswick Street Studio was a ‘safe house’ for many insurgents on the run around this time.
