Markey Robinson was born in Belfast in 1918. He was the son of a house painter and spent time

World War II. His main passion was painting, but he also produced sculptures, and designed some

stained glass panels. His paintings cover a wide range of subjects, but there are certain recurring

features. As an artist, Markey Robinson produced artworks with similar elements to those of Ma-
