Colin Watson was born in Belfast in 1966 and continues to live and work in the city. He graduated with a B.A.
Honours in Fine Art from the University of Ulster in 1988. Watson has exhibited at the Royal Academy in Lon-
don, the Royal Ulster Academy and the Royal Hibernian Academy, winning awards at the latter two. He was also
awarded the Ireland Fund of Great Britain Annual Arts Award in 1999. His work has been included in the BP Por-
trait Prize Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery and at the Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries in London.
